Meltblown Fabric Innovations: New Filtration Standards

Makrite’s Innovation in Meltblown Fabric

This October, Makrite is launching a new meltblown fabric production line in Taiwan. This isn’t just an expansion—it’s a major innovation. By producing the filter in-house, we ensure that every layer in our masks meets our high standards for filtration and comfort.

Tailored Filtration

Our meltblown filter is customizable for different filtration standards, including P1, P2, P3, and N95. For instance, our N95 fabric achieves a minimum of 95% filtration efficiency for particles as small as 0.3 microns. This allows us to serve various industries, from healthcare to industrial applications, with products that offer the protection needed without sacrificing breathability.

Long-Lasting Quality of Meltblown Fabrics

We’ve engineered our meltblown fabric to maintain its filtration efficiency for up to five years when stored correctly. This is significantly longer than the industry average of two years. After five years, our fabric still meets the filtration standards, ensuring that masks made with it remain effective over time (Thomasnet) (Reifenhauser). This durability sets our fabric apart and provides peace of mind for manufacturers and end-users alike.

Comfortable and Effective Meltblown Filtration

Our innovative process produces a layer that is only 25 grams per square meter, yet it maintains superior filtration. This thin layer reduces breathing resistance by 20% compared to thicker alternatives, making our masks more comfortable for long-term wear (Gessner Filtration) (Reifenhauser). Comfortable masks are essential for users, especially in industries where prolonged use is necessary.
